The California Clean Energy Jobs Act (Proposition 39) changed the corporate income tax code and allocates projected revenue to California’s General Fund and the Clean Energy Job Creation Fund for five fiscal years, beginning with fiscal year 2013-14. Under the initiative, it is estimated that up to $550 million annually will be available for appropriation by the Legislature for eligible projects to improve energy efficiency and expand clean energy generation in schools.

LA County Economic Development Corporation SoCal EV industry jobs report

SCE, alongside LADWP, LA Metro, SCAG and South Coast AQMD helped fund a study by the LA County Economic Development Corporation that looked at the EV industry and jobs, finding ~120,000 jobs in Southern California are in the EV industry, with average California EV industry wages of $91,000, with expectations of growth as California scales up to 7+ million EVs on the road by 2030.
