To support our customers and prevent larger outages from occurring in the future, we’re postponing less urgent upgrades and only performing critical work to address emergency and public safety issues. Our teams are working to reduce the impact of this work as much as possible. You can learn more about how we’re approaching these essential outages on our Response to COVID-19 page.
Due to the nature of the work, our crew members are sometimes unable to maintain physical distancing while making repairs and work together as a pod to minimize exposure with other workers. If you see our crew members in your neighborhood, please do not approach them and stay at least 6 feet away for safety. If crew members need to get in touch with you, they will call you or knock on your door. Please be assured that the safety of our workforce, our customers and the public remain our top priority.
Based on a number of factors, including forecasted extreme weather conditions, we may need to call a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event and preemptively turn off power in your area in order to reduce the risk of wildfires.
