Ensure PSPS Outage Alerts
In the event of a PSPS, we will keep you informed through early warning notifications, when possible, before turning off the power. Please make sure your contact information in your online account is up to date to ensure we can reach you during outages, and please choose whether you would like to receive these notifications via phone calls, text alerts or emails.
Self-Certification
If someone in your household has a condition that can be significantly affected by the interruption of power during an outage, or a disconnection for nonpayment of a bill, you can self-certify your account so that SCE can notify you before turning your power off. Self-certification status is valid for one (1) year.
In the event of a PSPS, self-certification means that we will attempt to reach you through your preferred contact method (email, text or voice call). If we cannot reach you directly, we will send a technician to your door to attempt to make in-person contact to deliver the message regarding the interruption.
Community Assistance Programs & Referrals
