  • Retailers, service stations, schools, and larger restaurants benefit from this plan
  • Medium-sized commercial and industrial businesses with electrical equipment registering demands from 200 kW through 500 kW
  • You may benefit from this plan if you can move usage to the lower-priced Mid-, Off-, and Super Off-Peak hours
  • 24-hour service stations, convenience marts, recreational facilities, churches, restaurants, and motels benefit from this plan
  • The rate schedule is available to customers with charging demands between 20kW but below 500kW

Rates for Small Businesses

Business Rates for All Business Sizes

  • Hourly electricity prices for generation that vary based on the time of day, season, and temperature
  • You may benefit from this plan if you have the flexibility to shift or reduce energy usage based on temperature-driven pricing variations
  • This rate has both Time-Related Demand and Facilities-Related Demand charges
  • Available to those with monthly demands that reach or exceed 200 kW
  • You must choose a Firm Service Level (FSL) that reflects the minimal amount of electricity you need to ensure you can operate your business during a TOU-BIP event
  • You must also choose a participation option, which is the amount of time (15 or 30 minutes) you need to respond to a TOU-BIP event
  • You must commit to reducing at least 15% of maximum demand but no less than 100 kW during TOU-BIP events

Seasonal Business Incentives for All Business Sizes

  • Demand Response program that can be utilized to reduce summer season electricity bills
  • A/C may be turned off: 30%, 50%, or 100% of the time out period of each half-hour; up to 6 hours per event for a maximum of 180 hours total per year.
  • Incentives are earned from June 1 to October 1

CPP is an optional rate that provides four months of summer season bill credits in exchange for paying higher electricity prices during 12 to 15 annual CPP events.

When called, CPP events are from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. on any day of the week, usually occurring on the hottest summer days. Reducing your electricity use during CPP events, can minimize these higher prices. Plus, your business will earn credits on your electricity bills during the summer season when your bills are typically the highest.
