Regulatory Background and Purpose of SCE’s DAC-GT RFOs

As per the relevant CPUC orders (the “DAC Decisions”) identified below, SCE is directed to periodically administer DAC-GT RFOs to procure towards its DAC-GT energy needs.

Various DAC programs, including the DAC-GT, were established on June 21, 2018 via D.18-06-027. Subsequently, the following were issued: Alternate Decision Adopting Alternatives to Promote Solar Distributed Generation in DACs, D.18-10-007, dated October 11, 2018, a decision-making corrections and clarifications to D.18-06-027, and Resolution E-4999 which promotes solar energy in the DAC-Community Solar Green Tariff (“DAC-CSGT”) and DAC-Green Tariff (“DAC-GT”) programs.

Later, on October 6, 2022, the Commission issued Resolution E-5212 that modified E-4999 to include additional DAC-eligible areas.

Finally, on May 30, 2024 the Commission approved (“D.”) 24-05-065 which implements the modified DAC-GT program and ended the DAC-CSGT program. All remaining un-procured capacity originally assigned to the DAC-CSGT tariff is to be transferred to the modified DAC-GT.
