SCE is launching the ACES 2 RFO in response to Senate Bill 801, which directed SCE to solicit for a minimum aggregate 20 MW of cost-effective energy storage resources to help address electrical system operational limitations resulting from reduced gas deliverability caused by the partial shutdown of the Aliso Canyon natural gas storage facility.
Complete requirements to participate and a schedule of required submittals are contained in the RFO Instructions.
