Distributed Generation Solutions & Alternative Distributed Generation Solutions

In the Distributed Generation Solution (“DGS”) Request for Proposals (“RFP”), we are soliciting proposals from owners and operators of distributed generation facilities to provide new generating capacity within certain areas designated by us in the RFP, to provide alternatives to building distribution upgrades to accommodate forecasted load growth on the system.

In the Alternative Distributed Generation Solutions (“ADGS”) Request for Information (“RFI”), we are soliciting informational proposals from interested parties, including owners and operators of distributed generation facilities and/or load customers, to provide alternatives to building distribution upgrades to accommodate forecasted load growth on the system.

Submit Your Proposal or Interest

For 2014, we’re issuing a pilot program: the Distributed Generation Solution (DGS) Request for Proposal (RFP), to solicit proposals from owners and operators of distributed generation facilities (Distributed Generators).

Alongside our DGS RFP, we are also issuing and Alternative Distributed Generation Solutions (ADGS) Request for Information (RFI), to solicit informational proposals and interest from interested parties, including owners and operators of distributed generation facilities and/or load customers (Participants).

These proposals are meant to provide alternatives to building distribution upgrades to accommodate forecasted load growth on the distribution system.

If you’d like to submit for this pilot program, please reference the applicable schedule of dates and deadlines below, and contact us at DistributedGenerationSolutions@sce.com or AlternativeDistributedGenerationSolutions@sce.com.

Distributed Generation Solutions Map

Southern California Edison's 2014 Distributed Generation Solutions Map highlights areas to which the Distributed Generator may potentially interconnect to satisfy the terms of the DGSA and DLA. During the technical review of the Proposal SCE will determine if the specific locations proposed for the Distributed Generator and the Designated Load meet the criteria of the DGS Agreement and DLA. Please email DistributedGenerationSolutions@sce.com if you have a question about whether or not a specific facility is located in the highlighted areas.

The color on the map does not indicate a preferred interconnection point or Distributed Generation Facility location. The green highlighted lines indicate areas where valid interconnection points may exist for purposes of this DGS RFP. For more information regarding interconnections for this project, visit SCE’s website: https://www.sce.com/wps/portal/home/procurement/renewable-alternative-power-contract-opportunities
