Update on TRTP Construction in Chino Hills and Chino

During the period of September 12 – September 25, construction activities as part of Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project (TRTP) will include the following:

Activity Location
Surveying, dust control, vegetation, net inspection, soil and material exportation - Throughout the project route
Grading work - South of Prairie View Cir (west of Lost Trail Dr)
Landscape and concrete restoration
Partial lane closure
- South of Prairie View Cir (west of Lost Trail Dr)
- South of Garden Ct (west of Cork Dr)
- South of Garden Ct (Cork Dr to east of Lobelia)
Transition station construction

- East Transition Station (Pipeline Ave north of Chino Hills Pkwy)
- West Transition Station (Southwest of western end of Eucalyptus Ave)

This work will take place within the existing utility right-of-way corridor in the cities of Chino and Chino Hills between the west end of Eucalyptus Avenue and the Chino Valley Freeway (71).

Eastern Transition Station

Work at the eastern transition station, located between Pipeline Avenue and the Chino Valley Fwy (71) is underway. There will be periods of night work at this location in order to reduce construction noise impacts to the Montessori School of Chino Hills.
