Rate Plan Comparison Tool
Get to Know Your Options
Before you use the Rate Plan Comparison Tool, there are two types of plans you should know about..
Time-Of-Use (TOU) Plans
Rates in a TOU plan vary based on the time of day, day of the week, and season. By taking advantage of lower rates during off-peak periods, you can avoid higher weekday rates when energy resources are in demand. Take the guess work out of what your energy costs. Learn more about TOU Rate Plans.
Tiered Rate Plan
In the Tiered Rate Plan, you begin each billing period at the Tier 1 rate, which has the lowest price per kilowatt hour (kWh). If you use more than your allocated energy, your rate climbs to Tier 2, which can be viewed on your My Account. A state-mandated High Usage Charge may also apply. Use the Tool to Compare Plans
The Rate Plan Comparison Tool can give you a personalized comparison between your current plan and other plan options.
- Find out if you could save on other rate plans.
- Get estimates based on your past usage.
- Choose and switch plans now.
Note: Your service account must have 8 months of energy usage which includes at least 2 months of summer usage.
Depending on the plan you choose and the circumstances of your change, you may be subject to a 12-month commitment period. You can find out which plans have commitment periods for you in the Rate Plan Comparison Tool.
If you switch, your new rate plan will begin in one or two billing cycles.
The Rate Plan Comparison Tool can help you identify the least expensive plan based your typical usage. The tool uses your past usage data to estimate your costs for other plans. However, if you’re able to change how and when you use energy, you may be able to take advantage of even lower rates on other plans.
