Small Site Rebate

Program Overview

Your properties require the right solutions to meet your needs and goals. The Small Site Rebate Program is available to multi-family and commercial properties who choose to purchase and install up to four EV charging station ports. The program offers a rebate to eligible participants to offset some or all the cost of buying and installing approved EV charging stations.

Program Highlights:

  • For the multi-family, public sector, and commercial property owners and managers choosing to install four or fewer EV charging station ports.
  • This rebate option is available to ANY participant who designs, purchases, and installs the customer side of the meter infrastructure work.

How It Works

The Small Site Rebate program offers savings for multi-family and commercial properties. The program provides a rebate of up to $10,000 per port for qualified sites installing up to four EV charging ports. SCE will perform all the necessary utility-side of the meter infrastructure work. The rebate is intended to help offset the costs associated with the design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of qualifying charging equipment. Any Level 2 (L2) EV charging equipment selected for installation must be listed on SCE’s Approved Product Listopens in new window.

Installing Charging Equipment

After a submitted application is approved, the participant can move forward with purchasing and designing the SCE-approved charging equipment. After the charging stations have been activated and the participant submits the required documentation, SCE issues the rebate. The rebate amount will not exceed the actual costs incurred by the participant.

If eligible, your business could benefit from participating in the Charging Infrastructure and Rebate Program. This program is available through 2026, or until available funding is fully subscribed. Participants are responsible for purchasing and installing all EV charging equipment and paying all EV charging station energy costs.

Select requirements include:

  1. Participant must operate and maintain the EV charging equipment for a 10-year duration.
  2. Installation of separate dedicated metering to measure EV charging station load and served by a Time-Of-Use (TOU) rate plan.
  3. Enrollment in a qualifying Demand Response program.
  4. The charging equipment must be equipped with a network service and the related usage and pricing information will be shared with SCE.

For additional eligibility and participation requirements, check our full Program Guidelines.
