Billing Reversal FAQs
Why was my bill reversed or corrected?
Your bill may be reversed or corrected if an update was needed—such as fixing a billing error or making a change to your account. This allows us to issue an updated bill.
How long does it take to complete a billing correction?
The time to complete a correction depends on the type of update needed. Each correction is carefully reviewed to ensure accuracy, so we’re unable to provide a specific timeframe. Once it’s completed, you’ll see a “Correction” indicator next to the statement on the Billing & Payment History page of your My Account.
Will a bill reversal affect my auto pay?
No. A bill reversal will not impact your Auto Pay or scheduled payments.
Will a bill reversal affect my payment arrangement?
It may. After the correction is completed, check your updated statement. If your payment arrangement is no longer shown, you can request a new one.
Will a bill reversal affect my payment due date? Will late fees still apply?
Yes, you’ll receive an updated statement with a new payment due date. To avoid late fees, please make your payment by the new due date.
What if I already paid the bill that was reversed or corrected?
Your payment will still be applied to your account:
- If the updated bill is lower, you’ll see a credit balance.
- If the updated bill is higher, the remaining balance will be due.
