Plug in to the right rate for your business’ EV charging
We offer three EV rate plans for businesses planning to charge electric vehicles. Learn more about your options here; then call us for help in selecting the rate schedule that best fits your business’ day-to-day operations and budget. If you are a property manager, you may be eligible for a residential rate plan.
Option A: Use only one electric meter & keep your existing rate schedule
If you prefer to maintain just one meter, then all of your business’ energy usage (including your EV charging) will be priced on a single rate. Your existing rate components—such as time-of-use periods, energy charges or demand charges—may apply.
However, if the combined existing non-residential load and electric vehicle charging load is above 500 kilowatts on a single meter, then your load must be served on the TOU-8 rate. See below for more detail on TOU-8.
Option B: Add a second meter for charging your electric vehicles & charge under an EV rate
If you charge your EVs on a separate meter, we offer EV rates based on your business’ energy usage. These rates may help lower your bill, particularly if most of your EV charging occurs during off-peak hours (typically 9 p.m. overnight until 4 p.m. the next day).
Learn about our available EV rates below. To use one of these rates, let your installer know that you will require a second meter for EV charging when you request your quote.
