Southern California Edison (SCE) is removing a transmission line in the area that is no longer in service. This line spans approximately three miles and is not currently used to deliver electricity to customers. Based on long-term system studies, we have determined that there is a low likelihood that this line will be needed in the future, and existing infrastructure is well-equipped to support future electricity demand.

Project Activities

Electrical crews will use existing rights-of-way and temporary access roads to perform the work. Helicopters may be used in hard-to-reach areas. Most poles will remain but the transmission lines at the top of the poles will be removed. Temporary roads and helicopter landing zones may be established to support safe and efficient activities.

Limited road closures will be used for public and employee safety during work hours.

Work is planned to begin mid-Dec. 2025.
