How are customer accounts and service accounts related?
Your Customer Account is tied to your billing information and mailing address, and is used to issue statements, payments, debits, and credits. Your Service Account is tied to your service address where your meter is and helps us track your usage information and calculations.
A customer can have one Customer Account with a single type of Service Account under it. For example, a customer can have one Customer Account with 2 residential service accounts or one Customer account with 3 commercial service accounts. All Service Accounts calculate their usage based on their own rates and then combine to show the total charges due for the Customer Account.
