Welcome to the Capacity Bidding Program Elect (CBP-E)
As your trusted electricity provider, we are committed to helping you use energy more efficiently—while saving money and supporting a cleaner, more reliable power grid.
What is CBP-E?
The Capacity Bidding Program Elect (CBP-E) rewards you for reducing your electricity use during times of high demand or limited supply. When a CBP-E event is called, simply lower your energy usage—and earn incentives in return.
It’s a win-win: you save on your electric bill and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
How It Works
You can get paid by your aggregator to reduce your energy or using your battery energy storage device during CBP-E events. These events help relieve stress on the power grid when energy resources are limited.
Participating is simple:
- Participate
Select a CBP-E Aggregator to enroll with - Bid Your Reduction
Work with your CBP-E Aggregator to choose your energy reduction level - Get Notified
If a CBP-E event is called, you will be notified by your CBP-E Aggregator in advance - Reduce & Earn
