What's New in the MySCE Mobile App?

In January 2024, SCE launched an enhanced, simplified version of the MySCE app. This new design has a centralized hub for managing your account, for convenient access to SCE information. The new features are designed to help you view the information you need, including a home dashboard where you can:

  • Enjoy an improved navigation experience with a new global header.
  • Customize, add, and remove app widgets.
  • Add and update your bank account for SCE bill payment.
  • Set your repair and maintenance alert notifications. 

This article will walk you through the new, improved app features.

Improved Navigation with the New Global Header 


In addition to the main navigation, you can find the new global header at the top of every MySCE screen. The header lets you access your SCE account details from anywhere in the app and enjoy quick navigation functions.

  • Account Details at a glance: View your account number, rate plan, and service address at the top of every MySCE screen. 
  • Easy navigation: Access more resources with just a single tap. 
  • Convenient logout: Exit the app from any screen by clicking the “Log Out” button in the global header.


Different account numbers are used to manage your SCE account information:

Customer Account Number: This number begins with a 4, 5, 6, or 7 and has no dashes, followed by 11 digits (for example, 400000000000). This number is related to your billing information and mailing address, and is used to issue statements, payments, debits, and credits. Reference this number when you make a payment or request assistance.

Service Account Number: This number begins with an 8 and has no dashes, followed by 9 digits (for example, 8000000000). This number is tied to the service address where your electricity meter is located, and it helps us track your energy usage and calculations. You’ll use your Service Account Number if you enroll in SCE rates and programs, including California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE), Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA), or Medical Baseline.

New Dashboard – Customize, Add, and Remove Widgets 

Customize your dashboard with a selection of widgets. Choose from options like estimated next bill amount, current and past electricity usage, and outage information. Each widget offers various display sizes and levels of detail to suit your preferences.

Dashboard – Billing Overview 

This widget makes it easier to find important billing details. It consolidates information like due dates, billing cycles, and your account status – it even gives you direct access to your payment history.

  • Effortless Payments: Now, you can quickly and easily start a bill payment, directly in the widget.
  • Financial Awareness: Get a convenient, at-a-glance view of your current balance and preferred payment methods.

Your Dashboard, Your Way: 

  • Customize Your Dashboard:  Use three interchangeable widgets – Outages, Current Usage, and Past Usage – to see the information that matters most. 
  • Get More Details:  Choose a large widget for details in an expanded view, or select a smaller widget for a summarized view.
  • Dynamic Control:  Enjoy the freedom of customizing your dashboard as often as you like, to manage your SCE account your way.

Savings and Safety: 

  • Energy Tips and Information: This widget gives you links to our helpful energy and cost-saving tips and resources. 
  • Enhanced Preparedness:  Stay informed of the latest wildfire safety tips and other preparedness information, to help keep your household ready and safe.

Billing and Payment Experience: 

This feature gives you access to all billing-related features, including Balance Due, View Bill, Update Payment Information, Billing Programs, and Tools – all in a single page.

  • Billing Hub:  See all your billing and payment options in one location.
  • Dynamic Control:  Manage your billing preferences for Auto Pay, Paperless Billing, Payment Methods, and Budget Assistant with a few clicks. 
  • Billing and Payment History:  All of your past bill amounts, payments, and PDF bills are available to view for the last 36 months.
