PSPS Resources
During Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), Southern California Edison (SCE) activates Community Resource Centers (CRCs) and mobile Community Crew Vehicles (CCVs) to support customers in areas most likely to experience power shutoffs.
What do active CRCs and CCVs provide?
CRCs and CCVs provide customers with on-site PSPS information, water, light snacks, resiliency kits, mobile device charging and portable medical equipment charging. SCE offers in-language support and accommodations for customers with disabilities and other access and functional needs.

SCE has contracted multiple high fire risk area sites to serve as resource centers during PSPS. Below is a list of all the CRC contracted sites by county – it is not a list of currently open locations. During a PSPS, sites are activated according to the specific outage location.

Community Crew Vehicles
SCE operates eight mobile units to support customers in communities without CRCs. CCVs provide similar services to CRCs and can be quickly deployed to various locations based on developing weather conditions.
Our Outage Map provides information regarding which locations are open and their hours of operation. SCE posts this information one day before sites are expected to open or when site details are confirmed within this one-day window.

When are CRCs and CCVs open?

What is the difference between an active CRC and a contracted CRC?
Active CRCs are sites open to PSPS-affected communities during a PSPS, while Contracted CRCs are locations established for future PSPS support. Not all contracted sites are open during PSPS.
