Correction to SCE Public Participation Hearings (PPHs) Venue Information in Long Beach
You may have previously seen a notice in your bill that Public Participation Hearings (PPHs) were occurring in the 2025 General Rate Case for Southern California Edison (SCE).  This is a proceeding before the California Public Utilities Commission and is referred to by case number A.23-05-010.  The information contained in the notice is correct, except the notice incorrectly stated that the date for the in-person PPHs in Long Beach is March 20, 2024.  The correct date for those in-person PPHs is April 10, 2024.

The corrected information for the in-person PPHs in Long Beach is as follows: 

Date: Wednesday, April 10, 2024 
Time: 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Location: Recreation Park Community Center, 4900 E. 7th St., Long Beach, CA 90804.

Anyone with a mobile device that supports the Operating System (OS) platforms above can download the SCE DR Alerts app to use.

The app enables to you set up and receive alerts about supported DR programs and events. You will also be able to view active and scheduled Demand Response (DR) event information, view events by list, and in some cases by location.

Please note that setting alerts does not enroll you in a DR program. Notifications are a courtesy service. Customers enrolled in DR programs are still responsible for event participation even if the notification is not received.

The application does not utilize any geo-positional location.

An internet connection is required and data charges may apply based on your service provider plan. Please contact your service provider for questions regarding data usage charges.

Chatting or texting with customer service representatives is not available at this time. If you need assistance setting up the app, we’re here to help. Business customers can call your account manager; residential customers can call 1-866-604-4500 and select 4 then 2 for app assistance.

In most cases, exiting the app and removing it from the running apps tray will solve the problem.

For iPhone (iOS 9 or later):

  1. Press the home button to exit the app. This returns you to the iPhone’s home screen.
  2. Double click the home button. This will bring up a window screen view of each application. These are apps that the iPhone currently has open.
  3. Swipe until you find the "SCE DR Alerts" icon or application.
  4. Swipe up from the “SCE DR Alerts” app window view. This will quit the application.
  5. Click the home button. This returns you to the iPhone’s home screen.
  6. Click on the "SCE DR Alerts" icon to launch the app.

 

For Android (5.0 or later):

  1. From the home screen, locate and press the "Settings" icon.
  2. From the list of settings, locate and press the "Applications manager" option.
  3. Click or swipe to the "Running" option tab. This will display all applications currently running.
  4. Select the "SCE DR Alerts" application.
  5. Tap on the "Stop" option.
  6. Click on the home button to return to the home screen.

The app is available for download free of charge on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. Please refer to your mobile phone owner’s manual on how to download and install apps.
