When will my service be reconnected after paying past-due balance?
Your service will be restored the same day, if we receive your payment by 7 p.m. Monday - Friday or 12 p.m. on Saturday. Any payment made after those times will be processed the next business day.
SCE is required by law to reconnect your service within 24 hours for remote reconnections, and 1 business day for field reconnections, subject to safety and weather conditions. However, most reconnections are completed sooner. For safety reason, please ensure any sensitive or potentially hazardous equipment is unplugged, and the main breaker is in the ‘On’ position.
If we do not reconnect your service within 24 hours for remote reconnections or one business day for field reconnections, you may submit a complaint to the CPUC by calling 1‑800‑649‑7570 or visiting their website at www.cpuc.ca.gov.
