Report a Downed Power Line

Electricity can be dangerous and downed wires can be deadly. If you see a fallen wire, keep yourself and others far away. Don't touch or use tools such as a branch or stick to move. Call 9-1-1 right away.

If you wish to report a downed wire, please only tell about what you can see from a safe distance.

Equipment Fire or Visible Smoke

The best way to put out an electrical fire is with a fire extinguisher. If you don’t have one, remember these tips.

 

Object Caught in Power Lines

Kites and balloons that come in contact with power lines can cause power outages. Keep them far away.
