• Keep balloons indoors and far away from power lines.
• Never attach metallic streamers to balloons.
• Be sure balloons are secured with weights as required by California law; find balloon weights at party supply stores.

Flying Kites Safely

• If the wind pushes your kite near a power line, let go of it.
• Enjoy your kite by flying it in an open area far away from overhead power lines and electricity facilities. 
• Never attach anything metallic – wire, string, or fabric – to a kite.
• Never fly a kite that’s damp or wet.

• Do not touch, breathe, or make contact with leaking propane gas
• Get everyone out of your home or building, and open doors and windows to ventilate the area
• If outside, leave the area immediately by walking into the wind and away from the propane gas
• Do not light a match, start an engine, use a cell phone, or do anything that may create a spark as the leaked propane gas can ignite
• Turn off machinery and equipment, but never approach equipment that is surrounded by a gas cloud

• Warn others to keep away

• Stay far away from power lines, keep everything and everybody far away from overhead lines
• Keep little fingers out of electrical outlets
• Check power cords for dangers
• Be prepared for an emergency or a power outage
• Consider safety before you plant, branches and foliage can grow into or near power lines causing a safety risk
