Interconnecting under SCE’s TOT

SCE’s Transmission Owner Tariff (TO Tariff, or TOT) describes the terms under which SCE provides open access to its transmission system to wholesale customers seeking to:

  • Interconnect generation facilities to SCE’s transmission system to deliver energy and capacity services to the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) controlled grid,
  • Interconnect wholesale load to SCE’s transmission system, or
  • Interconnect new transmission facilities to SCE’s transmission system.

SCE’s TOT also sets revenue requirements and applicable rates and charges for transmission access over the CAISO controlled grid and set the terms and conditions for transmission expansion.

SCE’s TOT is not applicable for customers seeking service under SCE’s retail rates, or interconnection of power projects to SCE’s distribution system, or for any other purpose not authorized by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

Note that the TOT currently posted at SCE.com may not reflect updates to the tariff that may be pending before the FERC.
