We’re Here to Help: Get In-Person Support

On Wednesday, January 31, we are hosting an Open House for all SCE customers who have lost their home or business to assist you through the rebuilding process. Join us from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the SCE Ventura Service Center:

Support for Customers Affected by the Southern California Wildfires & Mudslides

We're working with customers affected by the wildfires and mudslides by providing payment arrangements as necessary, supporting rebuilding with a dedicated Service Planning team, and more.

Payment Arrangements & Bill Forgiveness

If you're experiencing temporary financial setbacks due to the fires and mudslides, you may be able to defer a payment until a later date. You can set up your payment arrangements online through My Account, or by calling us at 1-800-250-7339.

Additionally, if your home or business is uninhabitable or inoperable – meaning the structure has suffered severe damage from the fires or mudslides – please call us at 1-800-250-7339 to learn about billing and credit forgiveness.

Information for Our Solar Customers

If you previously had a solar generating system under the NEM 1.0 rate plan and it was destroyed by one of the recent fire or mudslide disasters, you should know:

  1. If you don’t increase the capacity of your system by more than 10 percent or 1kW of the original system size, you may retain your NEM 1.0 status. You can re-apply using the NEM 1.0 expansion form to replace your system, and you won’t be required to pay the $75 application fee.
  1. If the system was permitted prior to Sept. 9, 2017and destroyed in a disaster, we will make an exception to allow the traditional inverter vs. the new smart inverter.


Support for Income-Qualified Customers

In order to assist California Alternative Rates for Energy (CARE) customers affected by the wildfires, we are freezing all income verifications. Any pending verifications for customers in the impacted areas will be cancelled. For information on how to qualify for CARE, please call 1-800-251-3311.

Additionally, the Energy Assistance Fund (EAF) is committed to providing critical support in helping customers pay their electric bill when they need it most. In partnership with the United Way of Greater Los Angeles, we have increased available funds to customers affected by the wildfires.
