Long Beach Update

As of 12:30 p.m. today, 72 customers remained without service. Our crews continue to work around the clock, and service is expected to be restored to those customers at about 4 p.m. today. We will continue to use generators to provide power to customers until final repairs are made. As the underground network system is restored, we will transition these customers off the generators. When this happens, these customers will experience a short power outage, which could last up to 45 minutes for most. These actions are to ensure they are connected back to the network properly and in a safe manner. We encourage customers in Long Beach to make every effort to conserve use of electricity as we continue to return the system to its full operational capacity. We reopened its distribution center at Cesar Chavez community center at 8 a.m. today to distribute ice and water. The safety of the public and our crews remain our highest priority.
