August 2012 Rate Changes

Effective August 1, 2012, the Southern California Edison (SCE) rates listed below changed (increased or decreased) as follows:

  • The Distribution charge increased for all rates, based on tier structure.
  • The Generation charge changed for all rates, including Real-Time Pricing (RTP) hourly factors, based on tier structure.
  • The Nuclear Decommissioning Charge (NDC) will increase for all applicable rates.
  • The Conservation Incentive Adjustment (CIA) charge changed for all Residential tier-structured rates, including Time-of-Use Domestic Tiered (TOU-D-T) and Time-of-Use Domestic Tiered, Electric Vehicle Charging (TOU-D-TEV).
  • The Under-collection Contribution (UC) charge increased for all applicable rates.
  • The Public Purpose Programs Charge (PPPC) changed for all rates. The Competition Transition Charge (CTC) decreased for all applicable rates.
  • The Power Charge Indifference Adjustment (PCIA) decreased for all applicable rates.
  • The New System Generation Charge (NSGC) decreased for all applicable rates.
  • Maximum available credits for Dual Participation decreased for all applicable rates.

SCE’s current and revised CARE Surcharge and CARE Discount Percentage are listed below: CARE Surcharge and CARE Discount Percentage
