Southern California Edison (“SCE”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) wants you to know about the information we collect and use when visiting our website, either through your computer or mobile device, or as an SCE customer through our Advanced Metering Infrastructure, which include our Edison SmartConnect and Real Time Energy Meter systems. We realize you expect SCE to appropriately protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access. SCE follows applicable laws, including those established by the California Public Utilities Commission, to protect your Personal Information. Your use of our website will indicate your acceptance and consent to the terms in this Notice.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

We define Personal Information as any information used alone or combined with other information that can be used to uniquely identify, contact or locate an individual or groups of individuals.

This information includes first name or initial and last name, home address and telephone number, government issued identification numbers, bank routing and account numbers, email addresses, user names, passwords, security question answers, customer or service account numbers, detailed energy consumption data (15-minute or hourly) obtained through SCE’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure, when associated with any information reasonably identifying you, your family, household residence, or other non-residential customer.

Personal Information also includes information concerning a user that the website or online service collects and maintains in personally identifiable form in combination with an identifier previously described.
