Long Beach Update

As of 1:20 a.m. today, we are in the process of reconnecting customers to the network who have been on generator power.

As part of our restoration efforts, some customers have been experiencing longer than anticipated outages. The issue has been identified, and most affected customers are now back up on generator power. We are working to ensure they are connected back to the network properly and in a safe manner. We encourage customers in Long Beach to make every effort to conserve use of electricity as we continue to return the system to its full operational capacity.

We will reopen our distribution center at 925 Locust at 8 a.m. today to distribute food, ice and water. The safety of the public and our crews remain our highest priority. Incentives 101

Ready to be reimbursed? Incentives can be paid directly in the form of a check or as a bill credit, or even designated to a 3rd-party recipient—the choice is yours. The amount of the incentive depends upon your calculated energy savings and reduction of energy use during periods of high demand. Want more detail? Ways to Apply

If you’re ready to apply for Express, Customized, or Demand Response Solutions, you can get started with the online application tool. The tool offers several benefits that save time and decrease the risk of your application being rejected (or held) for missing or incorrect information.

If you are unable to apply online, you may request an application by emailing EMSApplication@sce.com or calling (800) 736-4777. To better serve you, provide your company name and address and the program(s) you are applying for (e.g., Express Solutions) in your email.

Express Solutions

Steps Description
1 Fill out the appropriate sections of the Incentives Application. Request our Solutions Directory for eligible solutions and their solution codes, descriptions, qualification criteria and incentive amounts.
2 Applications for Express Solutions can be submitted for qualifying equipment that is already installed or for equipment that will be installed as part of a future comprehensive project including Customized Solutions.
3 Return the completed application to SCE. If your project installation is already complete, please include the required supporting documentation (invoice, manufacturer’s specifications product sheet).
4 If your project installation is already complete, upon approval of your application, SCE will issue an incentive check.
5 If your project installation will be completed after you submit the application, SCE will send you an Installation Report. After your project is completely installed, submit the Installation Report with the required supporting documentation to receive your incentive check.

Customized Solutions

Steps Description
1 Fill out the appropriate sections of the Incentives Application. Request our Solutions Directory for eligible solutions and their solution codes, descriptions, qualification criteria and incentive amounts.
2 Return the completed application to SCE.
3 A qualified SCE contractor arranges a pre-inspection of existing equipment.
4 Receive a Project Approval Letter and Installation Report.
5 Proceed with the installation of project.
6 Complete and return the Installation Report with the required supporting documentation to SCE.
7 A qualified SCE contractor arranges post-inspection of the new equipment.
8 SCE will issue an incentive check.

 

Automated Demand Response

Steps Description
1 Fill out the appropriate sections of the Incentives Application. Request our Solutions Directory for eligible solutions and their solution codes, descriptions, qualification criteria and incentive amounts.
2 Return the completed Incentives Application to SCE.
3 Receive confirmation from SCE that your Application is complete and funds have been reserved.
4 Install your equipment or technology.
5 Enroll in a qualifying DR program. For assistance, contact your SCE Account Representative.
6 Complete and return the Incentive Request Application with the required supporting information to SCE.
7 A qualified SCE contractor arranges equipment inspection and load test verification.
8 Once approved, SCE will issue an incentive check.
