El Casco System Project
The El Casco System Project will enhance the electrical system that meets today’s and tomorrow’s demand for power in the northwest Riverside County area.
Banning, Beaumont, Yucaipa and adjacent areas of unincorporated Riverside County.
The project consists of a new substation and upgrading 15.4 miles of electric lines.
Project is completed and operational
- December, 2008: Project approved by the CPUC
- September, 2009: Construction scheduled to begin.
- Mid 2011: Substation construction completed
- Summer, 2012: Construction on segments 2 and 4 began
- August 2013: Project completed
