Committed to Safe, Reliable, Affordable Power
Fifteen million Californians count on us for electricity 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we’re committed to delivering it reliably and safely. Over the next few years, we’re expanding and upgrading our transmission and distribution networks to meet the region’s growing demand for electricity, and improve grid performance, while meeting California’s ambitious renewable-power goals.
Expanding & Upgrading Essential Infrastructure
Solar Power For You
We have generated solar power since the 1980s. With our rooftop solar photovoltaic project, now we’re producing solar power on top of warehouses.
We’re generating emission-free, renewable power at multimillion-watt solar power stations on rooftops throughout the sunny Inland Empire.
During five years of construction, the project resulted in many new construction jobs.
Producing solar power on leased warehouse roofs.
The solar photovoltaic project is the largest of its kind in the United States.
By positioning solar stations on top of existing warehouses, we’re producing cleaner, renewable power without consuming “green land” for new construction.
Our first rooftop solar photovoltaic installation, in Fontana, Calif., consisted of 33,700 solar panels.
The nuclear plant that powered Southern California for 40 years is being retired, and we’re working hard to ensure that everyone has electricity when they need it, even on the hottest days.
