Changes to SCE Rates

September 2012 Rate Changes

Effective September 1, 2012, the SCE rates listed here will change (decrease) as follows:

On August 1, 2012, pursuant to Decision (D.)82-04-010, SCE filed Advice Letter 180-G to revise SCE’s gas tariffs to reflect a decrease in the Santa Catalina Island Gas Cost Adjustment Billing Factors (GCABFs). The tariffs also reflect a decrease in the California Alternate Rate for Energy (CARE) Surcharge component of base rates for non-CARE gas customers.

Effective September 1, 2012, pursuant to (D.)82-04-010, the energy component of the gas rate schedule will decrease.

Current and revised GCABFs and CARE Surcharge for Santa Catalina Island are listed below:

Note: Overall, the average residential customer’s monthly bill will decrease. The actual impact on the customer’s bill will vary depending on their energy usage.
