Our response to COVID-19
We’ve made some changes due to COVID-19, including suspending service disconnections for residential and small business customers for nonpayment, and only continuing critical work needed to protect public safety and reduce the risk of wildfires. Learn more here. If you have recently lost your job, even if you are receiving unemployment benefits, you may qualify for a reduced energy rate through our CARE or FERA programs. Learn more.

Energy Savings Assistance Program

The Energy Savings Assistance program is designed to help you conserve energy and save money. Income-qualified customers may be eligible to receive energy-efficient appliances at no charge or minimal charge.* During COVID-19 work restrictions, the health and safety of our customers, contractors and communities is our top priority. SCE approved contractors are conducting virtual enrollment and home assessments to minimize face to face interaction when necessary. You can be assured that when a contractor visits your home, they will be taking precautions and ensuring that they are utilizing appropriate protective equipment (gloves and masks), sanitizing tools regularly, and adhering to social distancing guidelines.

*In some instances, a copayment may be required.

Are You Eligible for Free Appliances?

If you qualify, we’ll cover the costs—including installation—of new energy-efficient appliances.

For more information please call 1-800-736-4777, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

This program is funded by California utility customers and administered by Southern California Edison under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
