The Energy Storage and Distribution Deferral Request for Offers ("2016 ES&DD RFO") consists of two procurement options:
- Option 1: Solicitation for Resource Adequacy from eligible Energy Storage Resources ("ESRs") is open to energy storage resource facilities as defined in CPUC Decision 13-10-040. The ESRs must electrically connect to one of four designated substations on SCE’s system.
- Option 2: All-source solicitation for renewable energy, energy storage, capacity, load reduction, resource adequacy, ancillary services and/or renewable attributes from eligible Preferred Resources for purposes of distribution deferral. The projects must electrically connect to designated substations or a qualifying segment of designated circuits on SCE’s system.
