SCE shall require Aggregator to establish its credit worthiness through evaluations, deposits, or other security in the manner described below.
Credit Evaluation — Aggregator with a demonstrable current credit rating of Baa2 or higher from Moody's or BBB or higher from Standard and Poor's, Fitch or Duff & Phelps is deemed to be creditworthy unless SCE determines that a material change in the Aggregator's creditworthiness has occurred.
Cash Deposit — Aggregators may satisfy the credit requirement by forwarding a cash deposit to SCE. The amount of cash deposit is based on the size (kW) of the Aggregated Group. The TOU-BIP Cash Deposit Table (PDF) shows the amount necessary by size groups.
In lieu of a cash deposit, it will be satisfactory to obtain a Surety Bond (PDF), Letter of Credit (PDF), or an Assignment of Certificate of Deposit (PDF) in the amount required based on the size (kW) of the Aggregated Group, with Southern California Edison as assignee.
Additional information may be found in the Aggregator Agreement (PDF) in Section IV "Credit Requirements."
