Save Power Days: Unplug for the Afternoon
The Save Power Day Incentive rewards participating customers for reducing energy use between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. during Save Power Days, up to 12 times each year. By reducing your electricity use during Save Power Days, you can earn up to $100 annually* in bill credits.
How It Adds Up: Save Power Payday
Here’s how we calculate your earned bill credits: We determine your average usage from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. during your 3 highest usage weekdays of the most recent 5 (excluding any holidays and any Save Power Days that may have occurred). We then compare that average to your electricity usage during the Save Power Day. If your usage on the Save Power Day is lower, you’ll earn a bill credit of $0.75 per kilowatt reduced.
How It Works: The Skinny on Saving
To participate and start earning bill credits, simply visit My Account and enroll in Save Power Day Incentive Alerts. You’ll be notified the day before each Save Power Day occurs by your choice of phone, text** or email. Once enrolled, participation is optional. All you have to do is reduce your electricity use on Save Power Days.
