Electric Car Rate Plans

Although you have the option of fueling your electric car on your current rate, we offer 2 special rate plans designed for charging your electric car during off-peak hours, when costs are lower. The first is our Home & Electric Vehicle Plan (TOU-D-TEV), which uses one meter to measure all your electricity usage -- your home and your electric car. This rate is often selected by people who are able to shift their household’s electricity consumption to evening and overnight hours – and recharge the car’s battery then, too. The second rate plan, our Electric Vehicle Plan (TOU-EV-1) requires a separate meter for charging your car, while your household usage keeps its own meter and its current rate plan. Of course, you can also choose to charge your electric car on your current Residential Plan (Schedule D) or other applicable residential rate.
