NEM Checklist for Solar & Wind

Option 1 - Apply By Email

1. You must have Microsoft Excel installed on your PC.
2. Download* the application and the single-line diagram.
   • NEM Application (Excel)
   • Single-line Diagram (Excel)
3. When you see the File Download dialog box, click on Open.
   
4. Fill out the application and the single-line diagram electronically.
5. In Excel, go to File - Save As and save the application and the single-line diagram to your Desktop.
6. Attach:
   • the completed application
   • the completed single-line diagram
   • the recent SCE electric bill
   • for new construction ONLY: a scanned copy of building permit
    
   to an email and send it to: SolarNEM@sce.com. Be sure to put your Service Account # in the email subject line (Service Acct # is located in the upper left portion of SCE bill).

Option 2 - Apply By Fax

1. Open* and print out the application and the single-line diagram.
   • NEM Application (PDF)
   • Single-line Diagram (PDF)
2. Fill out the application and the single-line diagram.
3. Obtain a copy of your recent SCE electric bill (past 4 months)
4. Fax:
   • the completed application
   • the completed single-line diagram
   • the recent SCE electric bill
   • for new construction ONLY: a copy of building permit
    
   to: Net Energy Metering Program Administrator at (626) 571-4272 or (626) 302-1103.

Option 3 - Apply By Postal Mail

1. Open* and print out the application and the single-line diagram.
   • NEM Application (PDF)
   • Single-line Diagram (PDF)
2. Fill out the application and the single-line diagram.
3. Obtain a copy of your recent SCE electric bill (past 4 months)
4. Mail:
   • the completed application
   • the completed single-line diagram
   • the recent SCE electric bill
   • for new construction ONLY: a copy of building permit
    
   to: Net Energy Metering Program Administrator
