Capacity Bidding Program (CBP):
Registration Information

Sign Up for the Capacity Bidding Program (CBP)

As an Aggregator:

  1. You must print, complete, and submit the following forms to SCE:
  1. Once we receive your application, our credit services department will review your credit history and determine whether or not you meet the credit requirements or must provide a deposit. If you are required to submit a deposit, you can provide us with your expected maximum capacity nomination at this time and we will inform you of the appropriate deposit amount required to participate (which must be submitted 3 days prior to placing a capacity nomination). The deposit amount may increase, depending on your expected maximum capacity nomination; however, an initial deposit amount of $4,000 is required to be listed on this webpage (see Deposit Requirements (PDF).
  2. If a deposit is required, submit your initial or appropriate deposit while your application is being processed.

Once your application has been processed and approved and we have received your deposit (if required), you will be notified and will receive your website login and password information. Additionally, your name will appear on our website's List Of Aggregators page as an aggregator for CBP. If you wish, you can request that your name not be listed on our website.
  3. Once you are an official aggregator, you must complete a "Notice by Aggregator to Add/Delete Customer (PDF)" form to add each customer to your portfolio. A separate form must be submitted for each customer, although you may list a customer's multiple service accounts on the same form.
  4. For each customer you sign up, you must also submit a "CISR-S (PDF)" form (Customer Information Standardized Request) that acknowledges the customers intent to release their information to you (the aggregator).
  5. Once the "Notice by Aggregator to Add/Delete Customer Service Account" and "CISR-S" forms are submitted, we will complete the enrollment process and notify you as to when you may begin placing nominations with the Capacity Bidding Program.

As a customer enrolled with an Aggregator:

Work with an aggregator who has a CBP Aggregator Agreement in place with SCE (see CBP resources listed below).

As a customer directly enrolled with SCE:

  1. You must print, complete, and submit a "Customer Agreement (PDF)" form to SCE. Be sure to include your service address and service account number on the form before submission to SCE.
  2. Once we receive your "CBP Customer Agreement", we will process your enrollment and provide you with your website login and password information so that you may begin placing nominations with the Capacity Bidding Program.
