The Cool Planet Project
Take Action on Climate Change
Southern California Edison (SCE) and The Climate Registry (The Registry) present the Cool Planet Project, a program which encourages large industrial customers to install energy efficiency (EE) projects, in turn reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The program rewards those customers with membership to The Climate Registry, which supplies cost effective, user-friendly assistance to measure organizations' GHG footprint.

Benefits of The Cool Planet Project

- Up to 50% of EE project costs paid by SCE

Eligibility & Requirements
- EE project(s) must be installed in SCE service territory
- EE project(s) must save at least one million kWh annually
- Multiple facilities can be aggregated to reach the required annual EE savings
- Projects must be installed and meet the requirements of SCE's energy efficiency program(s)
- Project funds are committed on a firstcome-first-serve basis until funds are depleted
- Upon receipt of The Cool Planet Project benefits, customers are responsible for any additional associated fees with The Registry and GHG verification
- The final kWh project savings amount is the amount approved by SCE upon post-installation inspection

A nonprofit collaboration between 40 U.S. states, 12 Canadian provinces & territories, and six Mexican states, The Registry is a leader on climate change issues.
The world's leading corporations, universities, cities & counties, government agencies and environmental organizations are working together to solve climate change by voluntarily measuring, monitoring, and publicly reporting their GHG emissions to The Registry.
