Technology Test Centers (TTC) is an energy efficiency laboratory specializing in testing Integrated Demand-Side Management technology solutions to prove their effectiveness and practical uses, both for Southern California Edison (SCE) energy efficiency programs and its customers.
By conducting independent lab testing and analysis, TTC widens the scope of available energy efficiency technologies and shows how these solutions can help save energy. TTC lab tests are thorough and repeatable, and are conducted in a realistic, impartial and constant environment to ensure the best quality in results and performance.
TTC is managed by the Design & Engineering Services division of SCE's Customer Service Business Unit. Located in Irwindale, TTC has one lab for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and another separate lab for Lighting.
The links below will direct you to more information about each TTC lab:
Refrigeration and Thermal Test Center (RTTC) is a state-of-the-art research and testing facility for refrigeration, air conditioning, cold-storage and other thermal-based technologies. With its walk-in controlled environment chambers, substantial heating and refrigeration capacity, sophisticated test equipment, and thousands of data collection points, RTTC is an industry-leading resource for SCE customers.
Southern California Lighting Technology Center (SCLTC) helps to advance efficient lighting technologies by providing collaboration, research, testing and reporting. With its unique lighting test areas and equipment, SCLTC improves the quantity and quality of lighting knowledge for SCE's energy efficiency programs.
