(Status: GREEN) This message was last updated on Mon, Feb 08 2080 at 08:00 AM PST. As of this time, NO INTERRUPTION IS IN PROGRESS. If an interruption becomes necessary, Edison will notify you via your Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) or dedicated telephone.

For TOU-BIP:  Southern California Edison (SCE) will notify customers that an interruption event is underway via the Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) and the dedicated telephone. Upon receipt of this message, please reduce your load according to your contractual requirements.

In the table, above the TOU-BIP interruptible program is divided into two separate categories, BIP-15 (Block T) and BIP-30 (Blocks R, Q, and P). BIP-15 customers must reduce demand to their contractual levels within 15 minutes of receiving the notice of interruption via the RTU and/or dedicated telephone. In the same manner, BIP-30 customers must reduce demand to their contractual level within 30 minutes.

Interruptible customers may not substitute the use of the interruptible website, paging service, e-mail notification service, or SCE toll-free “888” telephone number as an alternative method of receiving SCE notice to interrupt.  These services are provided for convenience and are not alternatives to the RTU and dedicated telephone. Failure to answer the call from SCE to interrupt power, therefore, resulting in the customer's failure to interrupt load, may result in penalties for failing to comply with a notice of interruption, as described in the interruptible tariffs.

Status Bar will be green, when there is no interruption in progress. If there is an Alert, Warning, or Stage 1 emergency, the Status Bar will be yellow. If there is a Stage 2, Stage 3 or Transmission Emergency, the Status Bar will be changed to Red. Here, you will find a detailed explanation of the ISO Notices.

This site will refresh every 5 minutes. It is recommended to “reload” or “refresh” this site often to ensure you are viewing the most recent SCE transmitted information. In rare cases we may experience rapid interruptible information changes, which can delay our manual process of posting to either our Web site or our Program Status phone line. In these situations, every effort will be made to provide you with the most up-to-date information.
