Demand Response Contracts
SCE has contracted with several demand response service providers (or aggregators) to help maintain an efficient and reliable supply of energy, reduce the likelihood of rotating outages, and avoid the need for building new power plants. This means less greenhouse gas emissions for Southern California.
The Demand Response Contracts portfolio consists of four aggregators, contracted to provide SCE with price-responsive and/or demand response events that SCE may call at its discretion. Each aggregator designs its own programs, and offers demand response program structures and options that may not be directly available through SCE. Customers may select an aggregator with services that best meet their business needs.
The following aggregators are currently authorized to enroll customers in their SCE demand response programs through December 31, 2012, with the exception of EnergyConnect, Inc, which is authorized through December 31, 2011.
For additional opportunities to reduce energy costs, you may enroll in more than one demand response program at a time. For details, see the Demand Response Dual Enrollment Options (PDF) chart.
