Details: The construction industry is changing rapidly responding to the call for healthier homes, conservation of resources and greater energy efficiency. Attendees at this green building workshop will learn about energy-saving and green building resources, trends and technologies. Participants will also have the opportunity to help shape the 2007 update to the Build It Green Multi-family Green Building Guidelines and ensure that it will be practical for multi-family development in Southern California.

ENERGY STAR Guidelines Training

The new EPA ENERGY STAR specifications require homes to meet 2005 Title 24 standards with use of the combined Thermal Bypass Checklist (TBC) / Quality Insulation Installation (QII) protocol. In February, homebuilders are invited to meet with Sam Rashkin of the EPA ENERGY STAR Homes Program to learn about the new ENERGY STAR Guidelines and the combined TBC/QII Protocol.
