Orange County

Orange County is the second most populous county in the state of California, and the fifth most populous in the United States. Thirty-four incorporated cities are located in Orange County. Seven of these cities are among the 200 largest cities in the United States.

Orange County enjoys a diverse economy, with strong soft and hardware technology, aerospace supplier and medical device manufacturing sectors, while tourism and hospitality is its number one industry. The area's warm Mediterranean climate and 42 miles of year-round beaches attract millions of tourists annually. It is famous for its sandy beaches for swimming and surfing, yacht harbors for sailing and pleasure boating, and extensive acreage devoted to parks and open space for golf, tennis, hiking, kayaking, cycling, and other outdoor recreation. It is at the center of Southern California's Tech Coast with Irvine being the primary business hub.

Orange County's major airport is the John Wayne-Orange County Airport (SNA). It is located in unincorporated territory surrounded by the cities of Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, and Irvine. Its modern Thomas F. Riley Terminal handles over 8 million passengers annually through 14 different airlines.
