Economic Development - Economic Development Team

Jeff Lebow

Jeff Lebow is the Innovation Technologies project manager with Southern California Edison's (SCE) Economic Development Services (EDS) group. Jeff is EDS's point person to create and implement a strategy that positions SCE as an influential contributor to the development of new and existing industry growth within Southern and Central California.

This will be accomplished by a focus on the economic development infrastructure that supports innovation, pioneering of new industries and entrepreneurs, and the re-invention of existing companies through diversification and commercialization strategies. Likely partners will be universities, colleges, regional organizations, high technology incubators, entrepreneurs and others working to grow the next generation of manufacturing and service companies that will employ the labor force of the future in SCE's 50,000 square mile service territory.

In 1981 Jeff started with Edison as a subcontractor, working for the Energy Services organization for Edison's Western Division. During Jeff's more than twenty-year tenure with SCE he has held positions in commercial and industrial energy audits for the large customer class, SCE Energy Services Representative, Customer Technology Application Center (CTAC) design team, and was responsible for the construction and design of the Industrial Center in CTAC. Jeff was asked to join the E&BD group in 1992.

Jeff received his bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California at Los Angeles and completed a two-year power-engineering program at Orange Coast College. He is a National Development Council Certified Economic Development Finance Professional.

Jeff is active in his community of Huntington Beach, where he lives with his wife Fran.
