Janel L. Huff

Janel Huff is the Project Manager for Economic Development Services activities in Riverside County. Based in the Irwindale office, she is responsible for the retention, expansion and attraction efforts and liaison assistance for businesses wishing to remain, expand or relocate into the Inland Empire area of Riverside County.

Prior to joining Southern California Edison, Janel served as President of a regional non-profit economic development organization. For many years she served as the Business Attractions Project Manager for California's Trade and Commerce Agency. Based in the Los Angeles Field Office, Pasadena, she was responsible for the attraction efforts, site locations and liaison assistance for businesses wishing to relocate into the Los Angeles' five-county areas.

A current board member for the San Fernando Valley Economic Alliance, she sits as a member of numerous committees with a variety of economic development organizations.

In July 2000, she was appointed by Mayor Richard Riordan to the South Area Planning Commission, City of Los Angeles where she was elected President.

Janel's lengthy work experience includes a position of Assistant Director of Tourism Marketing for a mid-western state. She has been an active as a commercial real estate broker and hotelier. As a small business owner, she has directed the operations of a number of successful businesses and held numerous business and civic positions.

Janel is a graduate of University of Oklahoma with a BBA in Accounting and Finance; she also holds a Masters of Business Administration.
