Community Choice Aggregation
Introduction
Welcome to Southern California Edison's Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) Information Center!
AB 117 permits cities, counties, or a Joint Power Authority (JPA) whose governing boards have elected to act as Community Choice Aggregators (CCAs) to purchase and sell electricity on behalf of utility customers within their service area(s). Under CCA Service, a CCA is solely responsible for procuring and providing for the electric power needs (including ancillary services) of its customers, ensuring resource adequacy and renewable portfolio requirements for these customers, and scheduling and settling with the CAISO. CCAs are required to meet certain requirements with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in addition to meeting financial and technical requirements with Southern California Edison. The documentation contained within the CCA pages provides information a CCA needs to enroll and operate within Southern California Edison's territory.
This site will be continually updated to provide you with the most current SCE Community Choice Aggregation business and operation methods and tools for your assistance. If you don't find the answer to your question on this Web site, please contact Customer Choice Services.
