Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Rate Schedule TOU-PA-ICE offers qualified agricultural customers reduced rates and an additional line extension allowance for converting internal combustion engines fueled by diesel, gasoline, propane, or butane (not natural gas) to electric motors. This rate is designed to improve the air quality of the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, areas known to have some of the worst air pollution in the nation.
The program application period began August 1, 2005, and will remain open for two years from that date, or until all capital expenditures associated with line extensions ($9.17 million) have been reserved, whichever comes first. Customers are encouraged to contact their SCE Account Representatives and apply now.
Who should be on Schedule TOU-PA-ICE?Existing or new bundled service agricultural customers who have internal combustion engines of 50 hp or greater, and whose engines were installed and operational prior to September 1, 2004, should consider applying for this rate. Schedule TOU-PA-ICE is not open to direct access customers.
