Summer Discount Plan Cycling Events

SCE's Summer Discount Plan allows customers to save money and conserve energy throughout the summer season by letting us remotely power down their air conditioner in the event of a power emergency. After you signup for the program, we will install a small, gray device on the outside of your AC. This cycling device receives a remote radio signal that allows SCE to temporarily turn off your AC's compressor when necessary.

Find out if your AC is being cycled

First, locate the small gray device mounted on your air conditioning unit. This device receives a remote radio signal and an indicator light will notify you of the status. Various light configurations are:

			Red Indicates device has been manually bypassed and will not be affected by the cycling signal. Send an email request to replace your device.
			Green (Normal): Stays on when our radio signal is being transmitted.
			Green (Flashing): AC cycling interruption in progress.
