| Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a computer-to-computer exchange of business transactions using a standard format. Southern California Edison's (SCE) EDI transactions are based on the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) ASC X12 standards.
EDI is often used to automate routine infomation processing with minimal manual intervention. EDI is based on high volume computer to computer exchange which reduces operating costs, increases accuracy, and speeds processing of business data. It can be used to exchange purchase orders, invoices, shipping notices, and many other standardized business transactions among business, governmental, banking, and regulatory entities.
If your business provides goods or services to Southern California Edison (SCE), or is a customer of SCE, and has EDI capabilities, you may want to consider a connection with SCE.
For additional information on SCE's EDI business capabilities, please contact the SCE EDI Administrator at 626-543-6349.
