| The following rate schedules apply to a variety of public and private outdoor lighting, including street and area lighting. |
|
 |
AL-2
This rate applies to metered outdoor area lighting, other than street and highway lighting, where energy is used from dusk to dawn. AL-2 has a low energy rate that reflects the lower costs associated with the off-peak usage patterns of outdoor lighting loads.
AL-2 is similar to AL-1 except that the customer (rather than SCE) must install, own, operate, and maintain a photocell or other device to ensure that no electricity is used during daylight hours.
DWL
This rate applies to lighting for walkaways and other common areas of condominiums, cooperatives and other residential projects with individually metered, single-family accommodations. This rate schedule has three options: A, where SCE owns and operates the lighting facilities; B, where the customer buys the lighting facilities from SCE; and C, where B customers are offered optional relamping service. This rate schedule is not available to new customers.
LS-1
This rate applies to unmetered street and highway lighting that is owned, operated and maintained by SCE. Customers may choose between “All Night” or “Midnight” service.
LS-2
This rate applies to unmetered street and highway lighting where the customer owns the lighting facilities. Customers may choose between “All Night” or “Midnight” service.
LS-3
This rate applies to street and highway lighting where the customer owns the lighting facilities but the service is metered by SCE.
OL-1
This rate applies to outdoor area lighting service (excluding street and highway lighting), where SCE owns, operates and maintains the lighting facilities. The installation must be permanent, as determined by SCE. Service is supplied only from overhead lines and no more than one new pole can be installed to provide service.
TC-1
This rate applies to metered single-phase and three-phase service for traffic directional signs or traffic signal systems located on streets or highways. It also can be used for railway crossing and track signals, and other public thoroughfare lighting that is used 24 hours per day or is not controlled by switching equipment. It may also apply to bus stop shelters under certain conditions.
