Rate Information - Business Rates
Agricultural and Pumping Customers
If you use 70% or more of your electricity for agricultural purposes or for water or sewage pumping, and your maximum demand is 500 kW or less, you can receive service under one of these rate schedules.

An Important Definition to Understand Before You Read Further

Some of SCE's agricultural and pumping rate schedules have service charges per horsepower of connected load. Service charges apply in every billing period, including months when little or no energy is used. SCE's other agricultural and pumping rate schedules have demand charges per kilowatt (kW) of maximum demand. Service and demand charges reflect the cost of having transmission and distribution facilities available to meet customer demand whenever it might occur.
